Dr. Nils Olson is a 1977 graduate of the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery, University of Maryland Dental School. He also holds a double degree - a BA/BS degree in electrical engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.  

Dr. Olson has been an Accredited member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry since 1997, and since then has received his Fellowship with the Academy. There are approximately 7,300 members of this prestigious academy, however, only around 250 dentists worldwide have achieved the Accreditation status and fewer than 50 have Fellowship status. Dr. Olson is the only Accredited AACD dentist in the Frederick regional area.

After serving for a number of years as an Examiner for both Accreditation as well as for Fellowship with the AACD, he serves as the Chairperson of Accreditation for the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.

In addition to the AACD, Dr. Olson is a Master of the Academy of General Dentistry. There are only four dentists in this country to have been awarded both AACD Fellowship and Mastership in the AGD.

Dr. Olson has studied with many of the best known cosmetic and restorative dentists in the world, including Dr. Peter Dawson, Dr. Frank Spear, Dr. Jimmy Eubank, Dr. Jeff Morley, Dr. Larry Rosenthal and the best known of all, Dr. Bill Dorfman, the Extreme Makeover dentist.

Dr. Olson has been a clinical instructor for several esthetic programs across the country and enjoys speaking to small and large groups on cosmetic dentistry.
