The prompt replacement of missing teeth is important not only for the aesthetics of your smile, but to avoid complex dental health problems which begin to develop after tooth loss, often compromising replacement choices. Dr. Olson and Dr. Wang work with patients who have lost teeth to determine which option(s) are best suited to their dental health, cosmetic goals and budget.
We offer several types of cosmetic dentures and partial dentures in our Frederick, Maryland dental office. These restorations are highly aesthetic, offering a natural looking and comfortable replacement for missing teeth. Dr. Olson can design a removable denture or an implant supported denture, for a more permanent restoration.
Implant Supported Dentures
Implant supported dentures, simply known as implant dentures, have an extremely high success rate and level of patient satisfaction. While there is a greater investment for implant dentures, they do provide superior long term benefits over removable dentures.
- Secure fit, no worries about dentures falling out when you eat or speak
- Improved bone retention, implants help to prevent bone loss
- Ability to eat foods without restrictions
- No adhesives necessary
About the Procedure
The procedure for denture implants is the same as the procedure for having a single dental implant. Rather than having one dental implant placed, however, Dr. Olson will plan the placement of two or more implants to anchor the denture or partial denture.
This procedure is often called same day dentures or one day dentures. In most cases, the denture will be secured to the implants on this same visit. This will aid in the healing process, as well as offer cosmetic and functional benefits. Some patients may have a temporary denture placed, with the permanent restoration being secured once the dental implants have fully integrated into the bone.
Denture Implant FAQs
How much do dentures cost?
The cost of dentures will depend on your specific condition, the type of denture and materials used. Dr. Olson will present you with the various options and costs before selecting a treatment. If you have dental insurance, we can submit the necessary paperwork to help you maximize your benefits.
Do you repair dentures?
If you need denture repair, please contact our office. In some cases, we may be able to repair an existing denture. In other situations, we may recommend replacing the denture.
What is “All on Four”?
All on four is the name of a popular implant denture procedure, where as few as four dental implants are placed in the jaw to secure a denture. Dr. Olson will evaluate your condition and place the number of implants that will yield the best results for your needs and goals.
