From the moment you walk through the doors of our office, you’ll see we’re not just another local dentist. The personal care and attention we give our patients helps to set us apart. When you visit, you can expect to be treated like a member of our family.

We recognize that a trip to the dentist makes some patients uneasy. Our focus is to provide exceptional service and gentle dental care. Above all else, our staff treats you with the highest level of compassion, courtesy and respect.

What to Expect

Frederick Smiles Dental Care believes that a healthy mouth is the foundation of a beautiful smile. We take a proactive approach to preventative dental care. Your first visit will begin with a new patient exam and pre-clinical consultation. During this appointment, you’ll have an opportunity to discuss your concerns and goals with doctors and tour our office.

Our dental examinations typically include:

  • Screening for tooth decay, cavities and fractures
  • Recording existing tooth conditions and restorations
  • Periodontal screening to check for signs of gum disease
  • Oral cancer screening
  • Occlusal and TMJ evaluation
  • Digital dental x-rays when needed

Our doctors will advise on a dental cleaning schedule which may be included as part of your first visit. If you have signs of gum disease, tooth decay or extensive tooth wear, we may schedule your dental cleaning on a future visit.

New Dental Patient FAQs

If you have dental insurance, please remember to bring that information. If you are seeking a second opinion or being referred by another dentist, contact our office to find out if we will need copies of your medical or dental records.

Does Frederick Smiles Dental Care accept dental insurance?
Yes, we accept nearly all dental insurance. We will handle all of the billing and paperwork needed to maximize your insurance benefits. We ask that you pay for your treatment at the time of service.
